How to exclude network settings from a restore job (4255560)

Backup, restore, and migration processes often run in multiple environments, such as testing and development. It is often required for both target and destination devices to remain online. Starting in version 12.0 of the KACE SMA, the restore process now has the option to exclude network settings, allowing the appliance administrator to keep selected devices online.

1. Navigate to Settings | Control Panel | Backup Settings and Restore
   
2. Under "Onboard Backups" select desired backup date to restore or if migrating/restoring from another appliance, upload backup files to restore.
   
3. Under "Restore Options" click "Override Network Configuration"
4. Add proper network settings for restored appliance.
5. Click "Restore from Backup"
   
   

Once the restore process is completed, the appliance will be available at the address specified under the Network settings configuration presented in step 4.
