ORA-25191: cannot reference overflow table of an index-organized table. (4232239)

The above error is received when scheduling an analysis job in space manager.

Due to an error in the Space Manager query, the IOT OVERFLOW objects are not excluded, however space manager will trap the error and continue with the next object

WORKAROUND:

1. Download Hotfix called Patch for receiving the following error during the scheduling of an analysis job: ORA-25191: cannot reference overflow table of an index-organized table from, https://support.quest.com/support_download/downloads.asp?productFamilyId=-1&productId=268436727&versionId=268448832

2. On the client pc, open windows explorer to the space manager install directory
(C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Space Manager 6.0\install) and look for the spc_pkg_angrp.sql file and rename it. Then copy the hotfix file to that same location. Go to space manager and click on File - Admin - Install Analysis Option and try the analysis again.

If you don't want to make this hotfix permanent, you can run the file via SQLPlus in one session only when connected as the space manager user.

Note that IOT OVERFLOW partitions may still be included. So at the same time we decided that finding whether a table partition is also IOT OEVRFLOW has a performance price.

STATUS:

Issue resolved in Hotfix.
