When attempt to open the RME console or a restore source, you see the following error: "External component has thrown an exception." (4351777)

When you use Recovery Manager to open a restore source, you may encounter the following error message: "External component has thrown an exception."

This can also happen when trying to open the Recovery Manager for Exchange console

Recovery Manager incorrectly uses the MAPI libraries.

WORKAROUND

Install Outlook 2013 64bit, or a 64bit version of the supported Outlook versions if you have a 32bit version installed.
