InTrust service fails to start and there are many module errors found in the InTrust server event log during start-up, such as;
Upon investigation of the ici.1 file under %Program Files (x86)\Quest Software\InTrust\Server\ADC\Packages\ it is found to be 0kb, or the file does not have a current time stamp. The contents of ici.1 are critical to correct operation of InTrust.
This is a known issue in InTrust versions 10.6 and below.
WORKAROUND
1) Restore known good ici.1 file from backup.
2) Restart the InTrust services.
The ici.1 is touched during every configuration change and session start. When ici.1 is opened, ici.2 is created as a trunsaction log (not exactly, but close to it). After some actions are performed we ask the operating system if ici.2 exists and if the answer is yes - ici.1 is deleted and replaced with ici.2. There is problem when disk usage is very high the operating system may advise that ici.2 is in fact there when it is not yet created (the file creation request was sent to the operating system but not yet complete). As a result ici.1 file is deleted, ici.2 is then created (empty) and deleted ici.1 is replaced with empty ici.2.
