Sometimes there are performance issues due to replication and Quest Support recommends to set a preferred DC less busy and as close as possible to the GPOADmin server to improve performance. The following are steps to set a preferred DC in GPOADmin console:- Right-Click the domain and then click "Options".
- Expand Options and click "Preferred Domain Controllers". Then click "Add" to select a domain controller and click "OK".
You may add only one preferred domain controller for every single domain that you manage GPOs with GPOADmin. - Right-Click the domain and then click "Options".
