Ensure the Exchange server you are using is Exchange 2013 or later.
Ensure that the service account's Exchange mailbox has been logged into at least once either via Outlook, or Outlook web access.
The account will not send any emails until this has been completed, and the GPOADmin service has been restarted.
If you have configured a group as the approver in the version control root, ensure the group is a Distribution group with a valid email address. If the approval email is still not delivered, add the user accounts that should be approvers and remove the group.
Note: If you have added the same approver accounts to the Notification Manager, and added them individually to the approver list, you may have duplicate email notifications delivered. Please remove the accounts from the Notification Manager.
Emails sent from Notification Manager will look identical to an Exchange workflow email without the Approve and reject options.
