When attempting to open Desktop Authority’s console and error is received, “Desktop Authority was unable to connect to Active Directory”.
In the SMWINservice_Errors.log the following errors are received:
“Unable to get Domain Controllers.”
“System out of memory exception.”
“Insufficient memory to continue the execution of the program.”
There may be an issue with the Desktop Authority Manager Service or an issue with DNS. The Desktop Authority Manager Service may not be able to communicate with Active Directory using the domain NETBIOS name.
1. Restart the Desktop Authority Manager service and launch the Desktop Authority Manager.
2. If the issue persists, try pinging the domain's NETBIOS name to see if it resolves.
