Site Activity Analysis report showing no data for requested dates -
说明
When running the basic site activity analysis report on a site collection no data for past dates. -
原因
the information from the activity report comes from live information that sharepoint manages commonly is the last 30 days -
解决办法
Run the powershell comand Get-SPUsageDefinition
look for the retention time the number i set on days.
that will show the amount of days that the sharepoint farm retains information for the activity report.
customer must adjust the report in order to show the content base on the information on the amount of days it has latter dates after that amount no information will show on the report.
Adjust the interval and recurrence of the report to run between dates that are under the amount of information that the sharepoint site has in order to come up with latest activity.

you can also check how much information a site collection retains in sharepoint by creating a sharepoint report for activity it will show how many days it has: on the site collection confirm the following on sharepoint: In the site collection, on the Settings menu, click Site Settings. On the Site Settings page, in the Site Collection Administration section, click Popularity and Search Reports. On the View Usage Reports page, in the Usage Reports section, click Usage. In the message box, click Open to open the report in Excel, or click Save or Save as to save the report. Open the report in excel it will show a graph with dates, those are the amount of days based on the rentetion of live information on sharepoint.
