When using Outlook 2007 or 2010 to view Free/Busy information for Synchronized stub objects the information appears intermittently.
When adding an attendee via the scheduling assistant the information may not be retrieved until additional attendees are added or the attendee is removed and adding again.
This can happen if the Microsoft Exchange availability service is having intermittent connectivity issues with the Schedule + Free/Busy system public folder.
Some common causes may be:
As the Free/Busy information is available upon retry, the Collaboration Synchronization has successfully replicated the information in the public folder store. The issue lies outside of the Collaboration Services Software, and is most likely an Exchange related configuration issue. Troubleshooting:
Enabling the troubleshooting logging option within outlook and examining the log files may provide details regarding this issue. If the resolution is not clear from the error message it would be recommended to contact Microsoft for further assistance in troubleshooting the Exchange Availability Services connectivity for legacy free/busy information.
