Change Auditor ODBC driver Support -

We would like to update the ODBC Driver on our Cluster from 17.10.3.1 to 18.2.2.1. Does Change Auditor accesses it’s SQL Database over the ODBC API and if so, would the upgrade to V18.2.2.1 be supported? -

We do have a minimum version of the ODBC driver that we support (something older like v11.x for the coordinator) however we do not explicitly test out newer versions for functionality (we let Microsoft handle backwards compatibility verification). Given that we support multiple OSs that all ship with different versions of the ODBC driver installed out of the box, I think that as long as you're using a signed driver that is above the current version that you are seeing in the environment, you should be fine.
Note we suggest having a backup in place, in case you do need to rollback the driver.
It is best pratise to test these types of upgrades in a test/uat environment before doing them in production.
