Toad hangs when Export to Excel if Toad installed on Windows7
Description

I performed a simple sql select statement to return rows in a small table.
I got the results and exported the results to Excel
Toad for SQL Server 5.0.0 froze with the export stalled in background processes.
Resolution

WORKAROUND:
Export the result set to Excel file instead Excel instance.

STATUS:
Waiting for fix in a future version of Toad for SQL Server.
