Error during Data Compare: "Error; Timeout expired.  The timeout period elapsed prior to compl (4223776)

A Data Compare is performed on two large tables (each having 500 million records).  A filter criteria is used on both tables to reduce the number of data compared. During comparison the following error occurs:

"Error; System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException
 Error; Timeout expired.  The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.

1. Select Tools | Options menu option
2. Select Database | Timeouts from left hand side
3. Change the Connection Timeout field to zero
