How to set Log Reader to read transaction log backup files without first reading a full backup fi (4222607)

User is required to first connect to a FULL database backup file, then select the transaction log files. Is there a way within Toad to just read transaction log backup files without first reading a full backup file?

Reading from stripped full backup is not supported yet in Toad. To read log backup file, Toad needs to know the database schema and hence the reason for the full backup file requirement.

WORKAROUND:
using Online Transaction Log option to select a database for which to read a log backup file from. On Select backup files step add transaction log backups and check "Parse only transaction logs from the list above" checkbox. This checkbox allows to read a log only from log backups without online logs.

STATUS:
Enhancement request CR 51137 has been submitted to Development for consideration in a future release of Toad for Oracle.
