Avoid Re-executing Query When Exporting Results (4379698)

When exporting query results, users may notice that the query is executed again. This can cause delays or unnecessary server load, especially for long-running queries.

By default, Toad re-execute the query to retrieve the results again for export, unless the full result set is already loaded into the grid.

To prevent the query from running again during export:

1. Enable "Display all results in grid":
   This option ensures the entire result set is loaded into memory after the first execution. Exporting will then use the cached grid data instead of re-running the query.
   
   Note: This option is located in the Export Dataset window.
   
   

2. Important Consideration – Memory Usage:
   Be cautious when enabling this option, especially with large result sets. Loading a large volume of data into memory can result in performance issues or an "Out of Memory" error.
