I am getting an "Access violation at address 00000000. Write of address 00000000" error when executing a statement ending with two semi-colons (;;).
In addition if I use the "Execute as snippet" feature, that editor’s tab becomes unusable and one cannot execute any other code within it.
Attempting to close this tab returns "Cancel execution and close tab"; however, selecting "Yes" does nothing.
The only way to close the tab is to kill Toad with Task Manager.
WORKAROUND:
None
STATUS:
Waiting for fix in a future release of Toad for Oracle
To reproduce the problem follow the steps below:
1) Type select * from dual;;
2) Press F9 : The error "Access violation at address 00000000. Write of address 00000000" displays.
3) Press Shift + F9
4) Type any other SELECT statement in the Editor an execute it. Toad will not respond and the Editor is unusable
5) Closing the Editor generates the message "Cancel execution and close tab". Selecting “Yes" will do nothing.
