Description
In Toad for Oracle, the Generate Schema Script output file is being overwritten if 'Top Level Directory' field is not updated after loading the saved settings. It would be useful if the 'Top Level Directory''field would have an option to include a Date or Date-time template (or substitution variables) and use that to generate a unique folder name. The output scripts will then be stored in these folders. Eg. "D:/mybackups/project1/%YYYYMMDD%" in the "TOP Level Directory" field would translate to "D:/mybackups/project1/20090401".

WORKAROUND
None. User have to manually make sure Top Level Directory is updated to avoid overwriting of existing scripts.
STATUS
Enhancement request CR ST 61118 has been submitted to Development for consideration in a future release of Toad for Oracle. -
