How do you copy a string with special characters from the Data Grid, to the clipboard (HTML), and insert it into an Excel sheet?
This is an issue with the pasting of data in Excel as Excel pastes in ANSI (American National Standard Institute) mode as a default, to be compatible to NON UNICODE programs, and with NON UNICODE fonts.
When copying from the clipboard (HTML) and pasting into Excel, the contents will be copied in ANSI-mode.
In Excel, use the right-click mouse menu, choose "Paste Special" and choose "Unicode text".
It will then paste the string correctly.
