ERROR "There was a problem moving the data to Excel." -
Description
In StatsPack Browser (Database | Monitor | StatsPack Browser), right click the graph then select "Send all charts to excel" encountered the error "There was a problem moving the data to Excel."
Selecting 'Send data to Excel' also shows the same error. Excel 2010 is installed on that Windows PC. -
Resolution
This error usually means that we sent some error to Excel and it threw an exception. We send a few hundred cells worth of data at once (for performance reasons) so it is hard to know which cell is causing the problem, but is usually is related to just one cell. Development have seen cases where one version of Excel has a problem and another does not with the same data.
We know the error is vague and apologize for that. The error we get back from excel is just as vague. -
Additional Information
Note that the expected behavior is to send all the data to Excel and not a chart (diagram).
