JumpTargets.dat lives in the installation directory and is a necessary component of Toad. When Toad starts, if it discovers that
JumpTargets.dat is not in the User Files directory it copies it there from the installation directory.
When the Jump feature is used, usage data is tracked so Jump can perform smarter every time it is used.
This usage data is kept inside of the JumpTargets.dat file, which makes it a User File. There is no ability to shut down or temporarily disable the
Jump feature. 5mb is not a large size overall, compared to other components in the product, and indeed, many other products.
The suggestion is to redirect the location of the user file directory. Here is how:
Go to View | Toad Options | from the left pane, click General | Change the “Application data directory” to your desired path.
Beyond that, contact an administrator or management and discuss about the disk space issues.
