The menu options within TOAD are not available via a mouse click (4319606)

The menu options within TOAD are not available via a mouse click.
I can use the mouse to select a menu and point to a menu option, but clicking that menu option has no effect.
If I rename the User Files directory and restart TOAD, the menus work for the duration of the session.
If I close and then reopen TOAD for ORACLE, the menus stop working again.

WORKAROUND 1:
Add Toad executable (toad.exe) to the virus scans exception list. (McAfee)

WORKAROUND 2:
Using the mouse, one can highlight a menu option andpress the Enter keyfor similar results.

WORKAROUND 3:
Use the ALT-keys in conjunction with the corresponding LETTER and/or ARROW keys to navigate via the menu selections.

WORKAROUND 4:
When you click the mouse button to select which dropdown menu you want to see, hold the mouse button until you have what you want to select highlighted in the dropdown. When you take your finger of the mouse key it will select what ever is highlighted.
