When altering a selected disk group, the 'Drop Disk' button is disabled and grayed out.
Resolution

WORKAROUND

Use Toad 11.6.1, which can be downloaded from here.

STATUS

This issue is fixed in Toad for Oracle 12.1. This version can be downloaded from the downloads section of our website, which you can access by clicking here.
