Title
"Execute SQL via SQL*Plus" does not work. SQL Plus is not launched. -
Description
When clicking on "Execute in SQL Plus" or "Execute SQL via SQL*Plus" from the Editor, it does not work.
Starting SQL Plus from Windows Start Menu or Command Prompt works fine.

Resolution
Go to View Menu | Toad Options | Executables
On the right side, check the box for "Auto detect paths for current Oracle Home". This should auto-populate the path fields for all the executables, including SQL Plus.
Or manually browse to the SQLPlus.exe location (default OracleHome\BIN\sqlplus.exe) in the SQL Plus field.
Click Apply and OK to the Options window and restart Toad.

Additional Information
In some cases, SQL Plus will flash on and then off. The window cannot be brought up from within Toad but can still be launched manually outside of Toad. This may be related to the Environmental Variables | PATH. WORKAROUND: Check the PATH setting so that the value starts with the path to the Oracle Home that hold the SQL Plus you wish to access (i.e. specified in Options | Executables | SQL Plus).
