In Toad for Oracle's Editor window, there is a drop down menu to select the current schema to execute the contents of the Editor in. In previous version of Toad you can type in the name of a schema and it would automatically convert to all upper cases for you instead of using the dropdown to select. This is helpful for users who have many schemas to have to scroll through.
In Toad for Oracle 10.6 when you type in the schema name it keeps it the same case. When the user tries to execute the SQL statement they may get the error "ORA-01435: User does not exist."
WORKAROUND:
Type in the schema name using all capital letters.
STATUS:
Issue fixed in version 11. The latest version of Toad For Oracle can be downloaded at: http://support.quest.com/Search/SearchDownloads.aspx
