In Widows 7, when I tried to edit my TNS entries via the TNS Editor, I get the following error when trying to save it.
Cannot create file
"C:\...\tnsnames.ora."
Access is denied.

Cause

Windows 7 rights issue.
Resolution

RESOLUTION: Right-click on the Toad for Oracle short cut icon and choose 'Run as Administrator."
