Description

Toad Options | Editor | Auto Replace | Import error: "Invalid Auto Replace file format." when importing an Export of the Auto Replace from Toad 12.6 to 12.7 and higher.
Cause

The Auto Replace Import/Export format was changed in 12.7.1. The old format is one line per entry and there are no double-quotes. In the new format, the entries are all in one line and double-quotes are used when there's a space encountered.
Resolution

Users can do a regular expression ‘Search and Replace’ on their 12.6 export file to convert it:

Search for... (.*)\r\n
Replace with... "$1",

After ‘Search & Replace’, manually delete the trailing comma that the Replace inserts. If the user doesn't have too many entries, they can manually run through and make the old file look like the new format. Double-quotes around every line in the old even if it does not have a space is OK.
