When viewing table data with NVARCHAR2 data using an 8.1.7 Oracle client, the data is not returned. When attempting to see the data via SQL*Plus, an error is received:
"ORA-01890: NLS error detected."
Oracle Bug 2003657 with the Oracle 8.1.7 Client: "Intermittent ORA-1890 possible from TO_DATE() operations".
Upgrade the Oracle Client to version 9.0.1.0. Oracle has resolved this issue in the Oracle 9.0.1.0 Client.
