ORA-01843 Error When Viewing Data in Schema Browser (4270118)

An ORA-01843 error results followed by unknown exception errors when attempting to view data for a table in the Schema Browser requiring TOAD to be shutdown.

The cause of the problem is an invalid date filter on a non-date field for the table.

For example, the following filter was entered for FIELD1 where FIELD1 is a varchar2 column:

FIELD1 = TO_DATE('12/12/2004','DD/MM/YYYY').
