ORA-29532:Java call terminated by uncaught Java exception:_java.lang.NullPointerException (4269678)

Opening a trace file from the database in a newly created database directory on a client Machine. When trying to open trace file from a local machine, the error ORA-29532 is returned.

The trace files open fine when opened directly from the database server.

When a directory is created in Oracle, it does not point to a folder on the local machine. It points to a folder on the server. This error occurs because the target folder does not exist on the server.
