Editor, Code assist highlights all IF / ENDIF code blocks when inside a nested IF code block -
Description
There are some complex procedures that have many layers of nested IF statements. Previous versions of TOAD only highlighted the IF statement layer, making it easy to identify what processes were controlled by what IF statement criteria. But placing a cursor inside a nested IF, all of the IF layers above it are also highlighted, making it very difficult to follow the processes. Is there a new editor configuration that controls this behavior ? -

Limitation with new Toad editor engine, Scintilla. -
Resolution
This is a known concern within the Toad for Oracle developers. This has been discussed at length on the Toad Forum.If one looks at this link from a Toad forum (again this was just one of many forum threads),http://www.toadworld.com/products/toad-for-oracle/f/10/p/24879/55724#55724One will also see a suggestion on a 'possible' way around for this.However, it only works if they use tab stops.It's not a full solution, but is possible it may work for some people, but maybe not others depending on coding styles.I have been informed that Development is looking at trying to add the old feature back, but it's not as easy as it sounds with the Toad new editor component.
