How to compare Explain Plan between two different databases? (4248246)

How do I go about comparing an Explain Plan between two different databases?

Please follow the steps below to compare an Explain Plan between two databases:
1. Go to your Editor window and execute a SQL Statement.
2. Click on the Explain Plan icon (or Ctrl+E) to run/display the Explain Plan.
3. Right click on the Explain Plan and select "compare with another plan".
4. Click on the connection icon on the right hand side of the split window to make a new connection to another database.
5. Enter a SQL Statement and click on the Explain Plan icon or Ctrl+E to run explain plan (under Editor menu) .

Now the two Explain Plans will be display side by side.
