I need the access level updated for the Tnsnames file used by TOAD to enable me edit the file for my use. I tried replacing the file but was unable to. It either kept reverting back to the original version or giving me an 'Access Denied' error.
Toad does not put any restriction on the tnsnames.ora file. This is implemented on local PC level, not on Toad end.

If the above does not resolve the issue, then contact your company local Admin or IT team and request to have the privilege to write to this file.
