When stepping through PL/SQL Stored Procedures in the TOAD editor, "List Index out of bounds" errors are generated randomly when stepping over the last line of a stored procedure to complete execution. There does not seem to be any way of predicting whether execution will complete successfully or an error will be generated.
Once an error has occurred, the Editor window cannot be used for any further debugging (Probe Timeout errors appear) and TOAD must be exited and restarted.
The error can occur when debugging any Stored Procedure or Function in seemingly any package and can occur regardless of whether you let it run from a break-point or step through line by line. If you step through, the error seems to occur on stepping over the end procedure statement.
