Toad disappears or crashes when executing multiple DML statements in SQL Editor using an 8.1.6 Or (4238451)

When executing multiple DML statements (Insert, Update or Delete) in SQL Editor using 'Execute as Script (F5)', Toad disappears or crashes. This happens when using an 8.1.6 Oracle client.

RESOLUTION:

TOAD no longer supports Oracle 8.1.6 Client.

To resolve the issue, refer to the following:

1. Upgrade Oracle Client to a supported version (8.1.7; 9i; 9r2; and 10g (including Instant Client))

or

2. Update the TOAD\SPServer.DLL to version 5.2.2.2 with the attached file. Locate the SPServer.DLL file and rename this to SPServer.OLD. Unzip the attached file and extract the new SPServer.DLL into the main TOAD directory.
