Can't type in date in grid (4231925)

When working with data in a data grid, it cannot be edited. When trying to manually change a date (i.e. type into the date field, changing from 3/AUG/12 to 24/JAN/13) the moment focus is take off the field, the value in the grid is set to 1/DEC/99. Using the calendar drop down to set the date doesn't help.

WORKAROUND:

Go to Toad Options | Data Grid | Data. Under date format, adjust setting to be something other than d/MMM/yy. I.e. chang to something like d/mm/yy or dd/MMM/yy

The data should be editable without issues after that.
