Switching from 'Statement' to 'Explain Plan' tab shows wrong SQL (4231704)

When working in Session Browser | Current Statement, the explain plan does not necessarily run a plan for the statement showing in the statement tab. The Current Statement's "Statement" tab shows one thing. Then when you click into the "Explain Plan" tab, it runs a plan for a different statement. When you go back into the "Statement" tab, it shows a different statement now, but one that matches the plan that was just run.

How can I get the explain plan for the correct statement shown in the Current Statement tab of the session browser?

If Session Browser is not set to automatically refresh, the statement shown may not be the most current statement. Explain plan tab works independently from the statement tab and will refresh for the most current statement to run a plan for. This may not match up with what is shown in the statement tab.

SOLUTION 1:
If you want the explain plan for the statement specifically shown at that moment, please load into the Editor and run explain plan from there.

SOLUTION 2:
Keep the most current statement displayed by enable the auto-refresh at the top of the Session Browser toolbar, and set the refresh per second field to refresh as often as you need.
