I'm entering a new record in the Schema Browser (data tab) for any number fields with a number that is about 30 digits long, the number in the cell is correct for only about 15 digits, then the rest of the numbers entered are defaulted to zeros.
Also the "Display Large Numbers in Scientific Notation" option is un-checked.
The issue does not occur in Toad 10.6.1.
WORKAROUND:
None.
STATUS:
Waiting for fix to be released in a future version of Toad for Oracle.
Steps to replicate the issue.
1. In Toad 11, go to the Toad Options and un-check the "Display Large Numbers in Scientific Notation" option, click Apply, OK, and restart Toad.
2. Go to the Schema Browser and find a table with a Number data type with no limit.
3. Enter in a 30 digit number, i.e. 441640098400468400484840060460
4. When the the Enter button is pressed to register the value, the number is transformed to: 441640098400468000000000000000, where the last 15 digits are all zeros.
