Do I need to use a DB_Link to compare data?

In Toad for Oracle 11.0 and below, it is required to setup a DB_Link to run the compare. However in Toad for Oracle 11.5, the use of a DB_Link is now optional. Simply leave the field blank for the DB_Link when running the compare.
