The Auto replace feature using symbols no longer works after upgrading to version 10.6 -
Description
In the Auto Replace feature for the Toad Editor I had the following auto replace line in Toad 10.5 and all was working well.
Value Replace With
* SELECT * FROM,However after upgrading to version 10.6, the asterisk value (*) no longer performs a replace. I tried using other symbols like the period (.) and that did not work either. None of the symbol characters are registered to work with auto replace. -
Cause
Product Defect.

Resolution
WORKAROUND:
Use any non-symbol characters to fulfill auto replace feature.
STATUS:
Waiting for fix to be released in a future version of Toad for Oracle.
