Error received when launching the SQL Tuner from the Toad SQL Editor:
"SQL Tuning module 5.6 is required for this functionality.
For more information or to order the SQL Tuning module contact Quest Software."
When the OK button is selected, the focus is returned to the SQL Editor window without any changes.
SQL Tuning application is not installed.
The Toad install comes with the SQL Tuning installer. The user has a choice to install Tuning during the install of Toad or to install later after Toad has been installed.
To install SQL Tuning during the general install of Toad, first walk through the install of the Toad application. When the prompt to install the SQL Tuning Option appears, click Yes and continue with Installation to install the Tuning files.
If no is selected Tuning will not be installed at that time.
To install Tuning after Toad has already been installed:
1. Go to Toad's installation | Tuning_Lab directory, by default this directory is C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle 8.6.1\Tuning_Lab.
2. Double-click on the TOADSQLTuning.exe file to execute the Tuning Installation wizard.
