"Could not convert variant of type (UnicodeString) into type (Date)" error when launching Session -
Description
After going to Options | Data Grids | Data | Date Format and choosing a date format of dd.mm.yy or dd.mm.yyyy, open the Session Browser. This fails with an application error Could not convert variant of type (UnicodeString) into type (Date). After clicking OK the browser seems to open but the date may or may not be correctly shown.

Cause
Issue with Date Format setting in Toad Options. This is only an issue with format of dd.mm.yy or dd.mm.yyyy. Other formats should be working without problems.

Resolution
WORKAROUND:
Do not set Date Format in option to dd.mm.yy or dd.mm.yyyy.
STATUS:
Waiting for fix in a future version of Toad for Oracle. -
