How can I use the AI features of Toad? (4380390)

How can I use the Generative AI features of Toad? For example, AI Explain, AI Code with GitHub Copilot features.

Starting with Toad Data Point 2024.2 Edition (and later), new generative AI features are now available.

•  AI Explain - Using the power of AI, Toad examines your code providing an explanation of its purpose. Learn more at Toad World.
• AI Code - Toad integrates with GitHub Copilot to generate sample SQL and PLSQL code. Learn more at Toad World.

AI features are available to all license holders. Follow the steps below to get started:

1. Upgrade to the latest edition of Toad from here. 

2. Verify your current licenses. In Toad open Help | Licensing window.

1. If the product edition states: "AI". For example: "Toad for Oracle Base AI Subscription" (See below attached screenshot) then login to online License Portal with license admin rights to activate and use AI features. View video for configuration steps.
   
   
2. If you don't have an AI license, then from the top-right corner of Licensing window, click Sign In and Sign In again. In the browser, sign in with your Quest account or create a new one.
   
   
   1. Back in Toad, your licensing window will automatically update and display your new AI trial license. The license edition will show as “Toad for Oracle DBA AI Subscription.” AI features are ready to be used.
      
      
3. If you don't see a Sign In option or if you are already signed in to the product, then contact ToadBetaTeam ToadBetaTeam@groups.quest.com team to obtain a trial license.
