Description
Connection problem:
Customer recently got new laptop. He installed DB2 client and Toad for DB2.
Got error when trying to connect DB2 database from Toad for DB2. -
Cause
Path on PC must point to directory where program can locate DB2 client runtime
C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Toad for DB2 2.5\DB2 Client\BIN
It is not C:\Program Files\IBM\SQLLIB\BIN -
Resolution
Please apply workaround by moving the C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Toad for DB2 2.5\DB2 Client\BIN to first in your path
You can change this by going to Right click on My Computer | Properties | Advanced | Environment variables | Path on system variable
Make sure you make a copy of your original path before you change it.
