BACKUP Tablespace script fails when encountering #SYNC statement -
Description
When generating a script in Toad to backup two tablespaces using TSM, the script (please see attachment) generates three distinct BACKUP statements followed by three #SYNC statements. The first backup completes successfully but after that the script fails with the following error message:
"SQL0104N An unexpected token #SYNC wsa found following BEGIN-OF-STATEMENT. Expected tokens may include: <values>."Steps to reproduce:
1. Select 2 tablespaces in Object Explorer
2. Right-click on Tablespaces
3. Select menu Utilities -> Backup Tablespaces
4. Select Command Options:
Method: Online
Output method: TSM
Open Sessions: 2
5. Select Show script
6. Click Execute -
Resolution
WORKAROUND:
None.
