DB2 default client message appears when uninstalling Toad for DB2 trial version -
Description
When attempting to uninstall Toad for DB2 v4.0 Trial Version, the following error message appears:
'The DB2 Copy ToadE40 in Quest Software Toad for DB2 Trial 4.0 is the default DB2 copy. You must set a new default before uninstall it. Please use the DB2 Default Selection Wizard to choose a new default DB2 copy, then restart the uninstallation again.' -
Resolution
1. Go to: Start | Programs | IBM DB2
2. In the sub-menu of this path it will list the installed clients. If there is more than one entry here, switch the Default Client a different one.
3. Run the Toad for DB2 trial uninstallation again.
