Trying to launch Toad for Data Analysis gets "Exception: System.IO.IOException" error -
Description
User tries launching Toad for Data Analysis and gets the following error:
Exception: System.IO.IOException
Message : The process cannot access the file 'C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\User Files\CONNECTIONS.INI' because it is being used by another process.
User had Toad for Oracle installed as well. -
Resolution
Toad for Data Analysis is trying to import the connections.ini file but another application is using the file. Try rebooting the machine and then launching Toad for Data Analysis before launching Toad for Oracle again.
