When connecting to an Excel file, unicode characters are not displayed / processed correctly, even if the Excel file is UTF-8 encoded.
For example, Japanese characters are displayed correctly in Excel, but when you connect to the Excel file in Toad Data Point, the characters are shown in the data grid as '??????' characters.
