Getting the error below when connecting:
"Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown"
The error happens when using ODBC to connect to two Composite 6.0 databases. Once the OK button on the error is clicked, it shows that it is connected. In one database it displays the schema name in the Object Explorer, but no objects. Also, trying to run a query will get the same out of memory error. For the other database, it lists the objects in the Object Explorer, but the schema name is not shown. That field is just blank. For this other database, running queries will return data.
Composite databases are not fully supported by Toad Data Point.
Unfortunately, Composite support is not on our short-term Roadmap. Developing TDA for new platforms requires a significant investment from Quest and the business case has to be there. However, as you can see through the evolution of this tool, we have continuously extended support to new platforms with each new release. As adoption of Composite in the marketplace increases, I would expect Quest to respond accordingly as we’ve done with Netezza, PostgreSQL, etc.
