Invalid Syntax error in SybaseIQ when using a query using WITH AS statements
Description
When running a query that contains multiple "WITH AS" statements in Sybase IQ an Invalid Syntax on Line 1 error occurs in version 3.4. However the same query; connected to the same database executes without syntax errors in Toad Data Point 3.3.
Cause
Toad Data Point 3.3 and below uses a SQL Server parser for all Sybase platforms. Starting in Toad Data Point 3.4, it's using specific parders for Sybase ASE only, which does not support this type of syntax to cause syntax errors.
Resolution
WORKAROUND: Use Toad Data Point version 3.3 and install it side-by-side with version 3.4.
