Impala CHAR datatype length not showing up correctly in Object Explorer -
Description
Connecting to Impala CDH v5.8.3, using ODBC v2.5.39 driver.
After making a successful connection to Impala, many of the datatypes show up correctly. However, the Impala CHAR datatype length is not showing up correctly in Object Explorer. They are all listed as 5000, that is not the correct LENGTH.

Cause
Issue appears to be related specifically to the 2.5.39 driver. -
Resolution
WORKAROUND
Install Impala driver 2.5.30
STATUS:
Fixed in version 4.3. The latest release can be downloaded here.
