Error "Access is Denied" and "Windows cannot access the specified device, path..." when launching. -
Description
The following errors are displayed when starting Toad Data Modeler:
"Access is Denied"
"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."
The OS User has full administrator privileges.

Cause
Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows was denying access to launch Toad. -
Resolution
Add Toad Data Modeler (TDM.exe) to the trusted applications zone of the anti-virus software. This may need to be done by a Network Administrator.
